PROTESTERS RETALIATE ANTI-NIGERIAN VIOLENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA, ATTACK MTN OFFICE IN ABUJA

[Abuja]–A group of angry Nigerians protesters attacked and vandalised the head office of MTN Nigeria in Abuja, today, 23rd of February in retaliation of violence attack against Nigerians in South Africa.

The protesters destroyed equipment, attacked customers and made a way with phones and iPad.

South Africa’s mobile operator, MTN Group, who visited the acting President, Yemi Oshibanjo, expressed concern over the attack and vandalization of it’s head office.

The incident, which was targeted towards non-nationals, coincided with a visit by MTN chairman Phuthuma Nhleko to the Nigerian capital to see the acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
