BREAKING: POLICE VAN HIT A POLICEMAN AT A POLICE STATION, INJURED HIS LEGS

[Osun]–It was a shocking scene on Tuesday morning at about 8:45 in Oke-Fia area, Osogbo as a police patrol van belonging to Adeleke University hit a police officer crossing the road.

The police van which was driven by a police officer coming from Ring road  toward Oke-Fia junction hit an unidentified police officer at the front of Police station thereby causing him severe injuries  to his legs.

THE PAGE correspondent who was at the scene gave the account of the happening.

According to him, there was traffic congestion along Governor’s house, Oke-Fia which caused several vehicles to halt for some time, the police man probably noticed that no vehicle was moving again decided to cross, not knowing that a police van was coming from the same side trying to maneuver the gridlock.

The van hit him to the extent that his trousers was ripped.

Police officer who drove the van and other police officer from the nearby station rush the victim inside the same van and took him to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

It was said that the police van was on special assignment before he hit the police officer in front of police station.
