[Jigawa]–At the swear-in of eight new permanent secretaries and Local Government Auditor- General in Dutse on Wednesday, March 08, 2017, the governor of Jigawa, Muhammed Badaru, has said only civil servants with 95 per cent attendance at work in a month would receive salary.
He said that the rate at which people abscond from work has become alarming and has created a problem for the government.
“Absenteeism has become the order of the day in civil service in the state”, adding that his government will not give room for such any longer.
He mentioned that his administration has provided bio-metric data capturing machines for ministries, agencies, departments and parastatals of government to check erring staff.
It should be noted that Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who was elected in April 2015, is the 4th democratically elected Governor of Jigawa State in Nigeria. Please Follow Us @ThePageNg
