AKEREDOLU APPOINTS SACKED UI LECTURER AS SPECIAL ASSISTANT

[Ondo]–The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, few hours ago, has approved the appointment of Dr. Doyin Odebowale, a recently sacked lecturer of the University of Ibadan as his Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties and Strategy.

This was disclosed in a press statement made available by Mr Olusegun Ajiboye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

Odebowale, popularly known as High Priest, until the time of his appointment has been a loyal supporter to the governor, playing a significant role in his election as the number one citizen of Ondo State.

THE PAGE reported recently that Odebowale who was a lecturer at the department of Classics, has sued the university at the National Industrial Court in Ibadan for sacking him after he refused to apologize to academic colleagues he accused of aiding and abetting plagiarism at the university.

Other appointments are‎ those of Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, as the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Olugbenga Ale, as Chief of Staff and Mr Jones Ogunmusire, Senior Special Assistant (SSA), (Administration and Policy Planning).

Also appointed were Taofeek Abdusalam, SSA , Legislative Matters; Mr Kunle Adebayo, SSA , Research and Documentation; Mr Raheem Aminu, SSA , Infrastructure.

Tosin Ogunbodede was appointed as Chief of Protocol and Mr Bola Alabi, as Deputy Chief of Protocol.
