METHODIST STUDENTS HOLD RALLY FOR SDG IN IBADAN

[Ibadan]–The students of Methodist High School,  Bodija, Ibadan alongside some corps members on Friday, March17, held a rally for the awareness and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), has approved by the United Nation in 2015.

The rally which began at around 8:00 a.m. on Friday took off from the school premises in Bodija, Ibadan and headed for the Oyo state secretariat with the students bearing placades.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), officially known as Transforming our world is a 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development across the United Nation’s 194 member states in which Nigeria is a member.

The goals are a set of seventeen aspirational “Global Goals” with 169 targets between them covering a broad range of sustainable development issues.

These include ending poverty and hunger, improving health and education , making cities more sustainable, combating climate change, and protecting oceans and forests.
