SUPER EAGLES BEGINS TRAINING AHEAD OF INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES

[London]–The Super Eagles have began training sessions today at the Hive Stadium in London ahead of their international friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso on Thursday, March 23 and Monday, March 27 respectively.

The team which arrived at their camp yesterday, March 20 lodged at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, some miles away from Wembley Stadium.

According to the Super Eagles official Twitter handle, the players who are currently in camp are newly invited Tyrone Ebuehi, Noah Bazee, Isaac Success, Ogenyi Onazi and Carl Ikeme.

Others players are Moses Simon, Shehu Abdullahi, Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, John Ogu, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Chidozie Awaziem.

The Super Eagles will face Senegal on Thursday inside The Hive Stadium, London.

And on Monday, they will play Burkina Faso also at The Hive Stadium.

Both friendly games are part of preparations for the Super Eagles ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo in June.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles Team Coordinator, Patrick Pascal noted that the backroom staff are yet to join up with the squad and will get know their fate on Wednesday,  March22, if they will make the trip to London for the games.

“We applied for visas, which should take 10 days, it will elapse on Wednesday. Akpeyi and Ezenwa already have theirs,” Pascal revealed to Complete Sports Nigeria in a chat.

“Once we get our visas on Wednesday we will travel the same day.”

THE PAGE had earlier reported that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that the camp ahead of the Super Eagles international friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso in London would open on the 20th of March at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ealing, London.
