[Abia]–Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been honored with a Chieftaincy title in Abia State, during his visit as an emissary of President Muhammadu Buhari, to interact with oil-producing communities in the State and discuss the New Vision for the Niger Delta.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo who is currently on a working visit to Abia state was given the title of ‘Enyioha 1’ by Abia traditional rulers, on March 24, 2017.

The Presidency Nigeria yesterday tweeted through it’s official account, @NGRpresident;

“Vice President Osinbajo receives the title ‘ENYIOHA 1’ from Abia Traditional Rulers, on behalf of the Buhari presidency #NigerDeltaDialogue”

Also, the Senior Special Assistant Media and Publicity of the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande, tweeted that;
“VP honoured by Abia State traditional rulers with ENYIOHA 1-Friend of the People, receives the honor on behalf of the Buhari presidency”.

At Abia, the Vice President met with Abia Elders Council, representatives of oil-producing communities, women, youths & professionals, who made presentations to the Vice President, in an agenda which is to discuss the new vision for Niger Delta.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Laolu Akande tweeted that;
“Having listened to several presentations, VP’s speech outlined the New Vision of President  Buhari for Niger Delta, “We must make haste.”
