About Us

The Page Newspaper, through its website (www.thepageng.com), seeks to expand the frontiers of journalism in Nigeria through focus reportage on those not-too-significant areas but that are very vital to the sustenance and prosperity of values in our society.

Positions

We hereby advertised for the following positions:

i. Intern Reporter
ii. Intern Market Analyst

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate flair for journalism
Applicants must possess a PC or an effective means of writing report electronically
Applicants must be favourably disposed to meeting deadlines
For position {i}, having interests in entrepreneurship, business and sport will be a great advantage.
For position {ii}, applicants must be comfortable with relating with Market women and writing reports about local commodities.
For both positions, excellent writing skills is a non-negotiable prerequisite.

Method of Application

Interested applicants are required to submit ONE sample report of not more than 600 words on stories relevant to the position they are applying for.
The report must be a new work by the applicant.
Each story is expected to contain the details of the applicant – Name, Phone Number, E-mail [In case your private is different from the one you are sending the story with], Educational Qualification, Home Address and links to previous works.

Additional information

– The positions are open to students in their final and penultimate year. Recent graduates waiting for NYSC are also encouraged to apply.
– Living in Ibadan is an advantage.
