PSG set to hunt for talents in Nigeria

[Lagos]–The French Lique One champions, Paris St. Germain (PSG) in conjunction with a Nigerian company, IRUKKA, is set to hunt for budding talents and provide platforms to show their skills.

According to the organisers, the hunt is designed to scout for young football talents between the ages of 13 and 17 years in Nigeria for further nurturing and development in France which according to its promoters, will also help Nigerian footballers acquire good education in reputable institutions.

The partnership, PSG-IRUKKA, on Thursday, March 30, unveiled former Super Eagles’ boss, Samson Siasia as the brand ambassador of the hunt.

The choice of Siasia, according to the Managing Director, PSG-IRUKKA, Chinedu Oguike was because he had coached virtually all the age-group national teams in the country which represents the ideals of the project.

“Siasia’s dynamism in coaching and youths development speaks volume and we cannot but identify with him to assist us project this initiative”, he said.

The screening has been scheduled to hold between May and July in 14 cities, they said, adding that N3, 000 entry forms would be available in all UBA branches and accredited agents across the country.
