Saraki denies rift between senate and presidency, says it is only an exaggeration

[On twitter]–Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has denied reports that the Nigerian Senate is at war with the Presidency, as he said he is always in touch with President Muhammadu Buhari.

He made this known through his official twitter account, @bukolasaraki, as he said that the matter is only an exaggeration.

“No rift between @NGRPresident & @NGRsenate just people exaggerating normal exec & Legislative actions. I’m in constant touch with @MBuhari”, he tweeted.

THE PAGE had earlier reported that sequel to President Muhammadu Buhari’s establishment of a committee to look into repairing the bond between the members of the executive arm and those of the legislature, the Nigerian Senate has agreed to end the rift, as disclosed by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Sen. Sabi Abdullahi.

“It is a good step in the right direction. The Senate, in particular, and the National Assembly in general, is ready to cooperate with the group and work with them to resolve all grey areas standing on the way of the smooth working relationship needed to deepen our fledgling democracy and ensure good governance for the benefits of Nigerians”, Sen. Abdullahi had said.
