“The Igbo are the most detribalized people in Nigeria” — Former Governor

[Ebonyi]–Okwesilieze Nwodo, Former governor of Enugu State has said that the Igbo are the most detribalized people in Nigeria and an Igbo president would ensure fairness and justice to all groups of people in the country which would guarantee fairness.

He made this declaration at the International Easter Retreat for Ndigbo at home and the Diaspora hosted by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu in Uburu, Ebonyi State.

“The Igbo are the most detribalized people in Nigeria and an Igbo president would ensure fairness and justice to all groups of people in the country which would guarantee fairness.

“An Igbo president would ensure that all tribes are treated equitably because if he fails, Igbo residing in these tribes would bear the brunt of his misrule through attacks and otherwise.” He added.

He further demanded that Nigeria should be restructured to ensure that all ethnic groups harness their economic potentials to ensure the development of the country and that governors of the South-East states should make lands available for the establishment of an export-free zone to bring the desired economic empowerment and enhancement of the Igbo.
