CAF appoints NFF’s Pinnick as AFCON president

[Bahrain]–The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has been appointed as the president of African Cup of Nations and head, media committees of Confederations of African Football (CAF).

The announcement was made at the executive committee meeting of CAF in Bahrain on Monday.

Also appointed are Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyatakyi and president of DR Congo Football Association, Constant Omari as CAF vice-president and second vice-president respectively.

Recall that earlier in January, the 43-year-old Pinnick was appointed as a member of the organising committee for competitions of the world football governing body, FIFA.
