[Osun]–An ex-palace worker, Abdulmajeed Agbaje had cried out over assassination attempt by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale.

Agbaje in a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Friday narrated his one night ordeal with Oluwo.

Agbaje who is popularly known as “Rodorodo” was a worker at Oluwo palace on the salary bases of N10,000 before he quit the job due to some secrets which the monarch don’t want him to reveal, he claimed.

It has been sometimes mentioned before the dread attack by Chief Ogundokun whom Oluwo had said he stripped him off his chieftain positions that Oluwo wanted to have sex with Agbaje. It was said that he (Agbaje) refuse the advances of homosexual proposal put to him by Oluwo.

Agbaje said ” The monarch came to my house on Sunday around 12:30 in the midnight, wearing a white Jalabia and putting on a white cap. He broke the door into my room even some windows glass were broken and I saw him (Oluwo) holding a gun and tear gas.”

“He got some accompanies like Abass and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps officials attached to his palace for his attack.”

“I was being marched outside my resident with several kicks and blows. They were deliberate to throw me inside Odo-Oba river which is at the outskirt of Iwo community but one of his accomplices said I might be get traced by my phone during investigation. I was asked where I kept my phone and I told them is inside the house. I was marched inside again, my phone and my wife’s phone was collected as they unleash terror in my apartment by spraying the tears gas.”

Agbaje further explained that, “The way the Oba was shouting before he gained entrance into my apartment I was recording it but when he seized my phone he deleted all evidences that might linked him with the attack.”

“He now handed me over to the police at Adeeke Police Station in Iwo land with my phones.”

“When the day breaks; I was dying in the police custody that is when I was released and Chief Ogundokun took me to hospital where I received treatment.”

But later heard different story that he said he came to rescue me after he heard that Chief Ogundokun sent assassins to kill me. My questions is that “How did he know that Baba sent assassin?”. That is a blatant lie. “He added”.

When contacted, the media aide of the monarch, Alli Ibrahim, to take their position on the allegation he refused to comment on the alleged attack, said “the boy should be in police station.

Also, our correspondent put a phone call through to the monarch, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi he said ” On that issue I have no comment”.

The Police public relations officer, Mrs. Folashade Odoro when contacted refuse to respond to calls put through to her.

However, when contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Civil Defense, Babawale denied the involvement of his men in the attack. He promised to change his men attached to the monarch, saying “we only instructed our men to guard the palace and not to be following traditional rulers around with arms.”
