UI professor, 90 others shortlisted for the award of SAN

[LPPC]–A professor of Law from the University of Ibadan, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose and 90 others have been shortlisted by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) for consideration of admission into the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, 2017.

Professor Bamgbose is the immediate past dean of the faculty of Law, University of Ibadan.

Also, shortlisted is Professor Oluyinka Osayame Omorogbe, a former dean of the same faculty and predecessor to Professor Bamgbose.

In an advertorial published on wednesday, the Secretary of the LPPC, Ahmed Saleh, who also doubles as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court announced that 67 lawyers and 24 academicians have scaled through the first and second filtration process towards the award of the SAN rank.

LPPC has hereby call to the public for comments regarding the competence and integrity of the shortlisted candidates.

Such complaints with 20 copies according to the advertorial must be filed before LPPC not later June 5, 2017 and that such must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a court of record in Nigeria.
