[Osun]–Osun State former governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has said the former president of Nigeria, Prof. Goodluck Jonathan made him to leave Peoples Democratic Party.

Oyinlola said “President Mohammad Buhari administartion had brought us too far today. He has tried especially on security and road project.I implored the Muslims to pray for him over his health so that he can enact the vision he has for this country”

The Osun State former governor who defected to APC in 2014 alleged that the party did not treat him well and void of discipline in approaching matters had led to his action of leaving the party when the issue of National Secretary of PDP emerged.

Oyinlola said “I don’t just leave PDP but when some people conspired about my position as the National Secretary in PDP Senator Kasamu came to my house and said we should conspire together and fight Obasanjo because of the panel that is governing the party in Ogun State which I deliberatly turn down because I don’t see future in what he has said and myself and Obasanjo didn’t meet only on the platform of politics because he’s like a father to me.

“I told him that we should settle any matter that can cause rift in the party.

“He responded that he knows that i have enemies in Abuja and he will team up with them against me because of my refusal to his interest. He even wanted to bribe me but I also turned him down. They later sued me to court that I can’t be the party National Secretary but I won the case.

“But they refuse to let me perform my duty as the party National Secretary which got me frustrated and decided to leave the party.

“But before I left the party I let all the prominent people in the party to know that the cabals especially the Ex-president does not want me in the party.

I went to meet The Senate President, David Mark about the development about the conspiracy in the party which he pleaded from me to give him two weeks to settled it but he couldn’t even with the intervention of the Party Chairman, Muazu Adamu.

“Before Jonathan emerge as the President of Nigeria, God uses Obasanjo for him so I don’t see reason for him to turn against him.

The former governor, Oyinlola also stressed it that he is an advocate of peace which had tried to settle the rift between the All Progressive Party members  in Osun State which involved APC chieftain, Alhaji Fatai Diekola, Deputy Speaker House of Representative, Hon. Lasun Yussuf and Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

He said “I am not backing anyone but Governor Aregbesola called me to intervene. I did called both Alhaji Diekola and Lasun to my house which I settled”.
