NYSC DG condemns Corps member relying solely on a single stream of income

[Osun}–The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure has condemned one stream of income for corps members.

Suleiman said this during his facilities tour  at the Orientating Camp in Ede, Osun State.

Brig-Gen Suleiman in his address to the corps members said, “NYSC is all about unity and national development to the extent of integration in the country.

“We have four cardinal programs in NYSC and through them we achieve the motive of the scheme. The orientation exercise is to adequatly equiped corps members in the years to come and gives strength, knowledge and wisdom through unity oriented programs.

“The skill acquisition must be paid attention to because the white collar job is not guarantee like before and I don’t want graduates to be roaming about to be looking for a job that is not existing.

Suleiman admonished corps members to set up a small business and try other means of income to fight joblessness and poverty in the county.

He also stressed that the scheme is in partnership with the Bank of Industry, Central Bank of Nigeria and other sector to help the youth to attain unimaginable feat in their endeavor.

The Osun-State Coordinator  of NYSC, Emmanuel Attah also said he had met with the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola over the payment of the allowance of the corps member which he has promised on his birthday to commence the payment of the past set and pay the present members in the state.
