Just In: UI to resume July 2, exam starts July 4

[Ibadan]–Information reaching THE PAGE from a reliable source has stated that the University of Ibadan is set to resume July 2 and to commence examinations two days after, July 4.

It should be recallled that the institution shut activities against undergraduates students on May 29, following a declaration by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka, on behalf of the Senate, after the students, led by the suspended Students’ Union President, Mr. Ojo Aderemi, held a peaceful protest outside the gate of the University.

THE PAGE correspondent gathered that the University Management will make the declaration officially through the University’s radio station, before the end of today.

It should also be recalled that the Vice Chancellor had, during his declaration on May 29, had earlier declared that examination  for undergraduate students will commence on July 17.
