“The untimely and avoidable death continue unabated; over 2000 pensioners have died; many are on their sick bed; many retirees are living in dilapidated buildings like lunatics, our creditors are making life very difficult for us thinking that we have been paid but we do out want to offset our debts, and so on. We have no option than to go out on street again to press for our demands which is the prompt payment of our statutory entitlement from the recently released Paris Club Refund,” he emphatically.

Omoniyi also alleged that money given to Governor Rauf Aregbesola by the Federal Government to make life bearable for the workers, pensioners, has been diverted without observing the conditions attached to such fund.

He said “The 1st tranche of Paris Club Refund released to the state ; N14.5bn, amount utilized is N4.6bn and amount diverted is N9.9bn.

“The second tranche has been released but our Sole Administrator is planning to divert it to another unprofitable white elephant project like, on-going demolition of shops at MDS Area, Execution of July 8 bye-election in Osun West senatorial district, East by-pass overhead bridge,” he alleged.
