“This is a new dawn in the history of our democracy” — Ademola Adeleke

[Osun]–The newly elected Senator, Otunba Ademola Adeleke who was elected to replace his brother,  late Sen. Isiaka Adeleke representing Osun west who died on April 23, 2017 has expressed his assurance of vast growing democracy in Nigeria.  

Otunba Adeleke stated this in his residence at his country home; Ede, Osun State on Sunday.

He expressed his gratitude to all the ten local government that made up the Osun west senatorial district and the people of Osun State for the mature approach demonstrated by them during the voting exercise on Saturday.

He further said that, “this is a new dawn in the history of our democracy.

“Our democracy is growing, where an opposition will defeat the  incumbent, it is a rear gem; our democracy is improving and we want to make sure that rigging no longer exist in Nigeria election.

“I commend the INEC and officials and the security officials for making the election very peaceful,” he added.

“Where my brother ended I will continue from there and that is why I have tagged my campaign “continuity””.
