[Abuaja]–Mr. Kayode Bello has written to the Federal High Court asking for the reassignment of the case between him and the Council of Legal Education (CLE) as well as the Inspector General of Police over the reluctance of CLE at reconciliating.

This is contained in a letter sent to the Federal High Court and obtained by THE PAGE.

Mr. Bello in an accompanying message said that the application was made because since a letter of reconciliation was written and served the Council of Legal Education, there has not been any concrete response given to the letter of reconciliation which was served over a week ago.

He further noted that since the Call to the Nigerian Bar comes up on November 28, the reassignment of the case becomes very urgent and important.

Kayode Bello also asked the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Kafarati of the need for the certified true copy of the proceedings on the
case on September 8, following the request of reassignment.

Recall that in the September 8 proceeding the Federal High Court had advised for reconciliation between the parties.

Following the advice, Mr. Bello’s counsel wrote to CLE requesting for the details of the reconciliation to which the CLE replied that it was ““unprofessional and disrespectful”.

Though Mr. Bello had replied the CLE clarifying that the original letter was merely suggesting time, date and venue for the reconciliation which would still be subjected to the CLE’s decision but the CLE had chosen not to reply since then.
